The Unconventional Oven campaign from Kidsafe and AAMI, partners with award-winning chef, Matt Moran who cooks a meal in a hot car. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the dangers of leaving children unattended in cars on hot days.
The number of children left unattended in cars is frightening, with around 5000 cases occurring every year in Australia, three quarters of whom are under four years old. Temperatures inside a car can average up to 30 degrees higher than the temperature outside, making it a real danger throughout the summer months.
