New Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples resource

In WA Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are hospitalised due to injury 2.5 times more than non-Aboriginal people, with 10,165 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples hospitalised due to injury from July 2013 to June 2015.

This alarming statistic is part of Know Injury’s new resource for WA health professionals, examining the impact of injury on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander populations and the factors that influence the prevalence of injury in these communities.
